6 Days from Tangier to Merzouga Itinerary

Day 1

Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Pickup from Tangier airport, port, hotel, or train station. Travel through Tetouan and the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen. Explore the blue streets, peaceful medina, and mountain viewpoints. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

Day 2

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Leave Chefchaouen and travel to Volubilis Roman ruins. Continue to Meknes to visit Bab Mansour and imperial city landmarks, then drive to Fes for overnight stay.

Day 3

Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Merzouga

Travel from Fes through Ifrane, Cedar Forest, and Middle Atlas landscapes. Continue through Midelt, Ziz Valley, and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga. Ride camels across Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and spend the night in a luxury desert camp.

Day 4

Merzouga Desert Experience – Nomads – Khamlia

Wake up for Sahara sunrise and enjoy a full desert experience around Merzouga. Visit nomadic families, fossil areas, panoramic dune viewpoints, and Khamlia village for Gnawa music. Overnight stay near the dunes.

Day 5

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel through Rissani and Erfoud toward Todra Gorge. Walk between the canyon walls before continuing to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Travel through Rose Valley, Skoura, and Ouarzazate before visiting Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Cross the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n’Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech for drop-off at your hotel, riad, airport, or preferred location.
