Discover the best of southern Morocco on a scenic and immersive 7-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. This round-trip adventure combines breathtaking landscapes, desert exploration, cultural heritage, and plenty of authentic local experiences. You’ll travel from bustling Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains, visit ancient kasbahs, trek into the Sahara on camelback, and spend magical nights under star-filled desert skies.
Day 1 – Marrakech
Arrival at Marrakech Airport at a time to be arranged. After border formalities, transfer to the Riad.
Dinner on your own. Overnight in Riad.

Day 2 – Marrakech / Dades Gorges
After breakfast, depart from Marrakech and cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains.
Stop for a guided visit to the UNESCO Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a famed film set for numerous Hollywood productions.
Suggested lunch in a local restaurant.
Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing the palm grove of Skoura.
Arrival at Dades Gorges.
Dinner and overnight in mountain Kasbah/Dar or 4* Hotel.
Day 3 – Dades Gorges / Sahara Desert (Merzouga)
After breakfast, enjoy a short tour of the Dades Gorges.
Continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges with optional lunch and time to relax beside the crystal-clear mountain stream.
Journey into the desert landscape, slowly immersing yourself in the Sahara.
At the edge of the dunes, camels await to take you deep into the golden sands.
Arrive at the Berber tents.
Candlelit dinner and overnight in well-equipped desert camp.
Day 4 – Sahara Desert – Oasis Route
Optional early wake-up to admire the sunrise from the top of the dunes.
After breakfast, return by camel to your 4×4 vehicles.
Start the off-road adventure into the Black Desert, following old Paris-Dakar routes.
Visit nomadic families living in traditional tents, and enjoy mint tea by the fire.
Continue to the Fossil Mountain.
Suggested lunch in a traditional Berber home.
Later, visit the village of Khamlia, where black Berbers of Sudanese origin perform soul-stirring Gnawa music with drums and castanets.
Dinner and overnight at a hotel near the dunes.
Day 5 – Sahara / Ouarzazate
After breakfast, drive through the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech.
Lunch upon arrival in Marrakech.
In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of the historic heart of the Red City: visit the Marrakech Museum, a traditional Koranic School, and the colorful artisan souks.
Dinner on your own. Overnight in Riad..
Day 7 – Marrakech / Airport
Breakfast at the riad. Transfer to Marrakech Airport at an agreed time.
End of the journey.
